This issue will be focusing on the combat sites found in class 1-3 wormhole systems. They aren’t the best money, but for anyone south of 15m SP these sites serve as a good springboard to harder content. This particular article is much more fitting-heavy than wordy content. PvE in this space often comes down to shooting Sleepers down one-by-one. If that isn’t what you’re here for then go ahead and click on the appropriate title in the table below for the article on that method.
For ease of use, I’ve also created a reference table of preferred sites
The fits described in this article were created before the resistance nerf in April 2020. Post-patch revised fits will be marked with a ++ at the start of each fitting name although screenshots will not always be updated.

***These are rough numbers. You can often earn more with better skills, more investment, luck etc.
If the words ‘static’ and ‘probe launcher’ seem foreign then you best start with EVE Uni first. As before, this is also not a replacement for Rykkis Guide (or Karr’s updated version). Instead, it is more of a complementary piece that explains how to actually use the numbers found in that sheet. If you’re in a rush then skim through for the key bold text and reference tables.
Method & Fits – Class 2
Ah, class 2 space sites. Like many wormholers, they served as my first foray into combat anomalies years ago. Of course, that was back when earning 2-300m ISK in a week was a lot to me. Nowadays I can hardly recommend C2’s unless you only want to dip your toes in and see what some of the easier sites are like. If you keep it up long enough then someone will find you and they will kill you so fly something cheap. C1’s are right out. For the ISK you make just don’t bother.
The key to fitting for wormhole sites (and any site in EVE for that matter) is to take a look at what the max incoming DPS/Neuts/Webs are and to tank for that. The hardest hitting non-relic/data site in a C2, for example, is a Perimeter Hangar with 423 DPS. Neuting overall isn’t too heavy, but a Sleeper Data Signature Sanctuary does hit for 385 DPS and -10GJ/s on wave three. For that reason, we’ll design our example site runner to tank about 400 DPS under 10Gj/s of neut pressure.
To be honest there are a million and one ways to do this. Most decent fits use passive shield regen. They tend to sit there and eat the damage while shooting back out with heavy missiles and/or drones. I’ve heard of people doing this sort of thing in a Drake, a Myrm, a VNI, a Harbinger, a Hurricane…. Almost anything is viable. All you need to do is warp into the site, shoot everything that isn’t a trigger, then kill the trigger(s) to pull the next wave. It honestly couldn’t get easier, pick any site and go.
As of January 2020, the below Drake does more damage and applies better due to a heavy missile buff.

Note that this Drake isn’t the best fit in the world. For the sake of a potential alpha clone, though, it has spare fitting space and surplus tank for most waves in most sites.
It costs less than 70m ISK, too! I’d estimate that you’d make your money back within about an hour of plodding through C2 anoms.
Another way to skin the same cat is with a Myrmidon like so:

This one is also a little overtanked, and comes with a Micro Jump Drive which will let you escape pretty much anything if you keep a keen eye on dscan. Mid slot utility mod is to taste and you can pop an Omnidirectional Tracking Computer and sentries in instead if you like. A commonly touted version of this is the 720mm artillery shield tanked Myrm. I’ll leave working that one out as an exercise for the reader, though.
Update: I had noticed someone who was a little confused by this fit and can only blame my own lack of explanations. Check out this Reddit comment for a bit more 🙂
Further Updates: Either the Passive tanked Myrmidon or Drake for C3’s are very easy to use, too. Fill mids with (capless) buffer and lows with Shield Power Relays. Easy
Method & Fits – Class 3
Despite both being a part of the ‘low-class’, ‘easier’ subset of wormholes, C3’s are surprisingly different to C2’s when it comes to combat anomalies. Tactics for running sites are similar, but you’ll need a bit more bling. Expect to earn approximately 250m ISK per hour in these for a higher upfront cost.
The max DPS to expect is in the region of 800 DPS. The neuting takes a step up too, with the worst combination being -16GJ/s and 673 DPS from a Fortification Frontier Stronghold. That said, the 6x webs and heavy DPS of an Outpost could be more of a worry for many a Gila. Strict numbers to tank for are probably similar to that of the Frontier Stronghold, but often C3 fits involve refitting. It’s not uncommon to see a Gila simply orbiting their mobile depot while the drones do the busy work.
With that said, here’s a decent lil’ passive Rattlesnake fit:

This particular Rattle isn’t the blingiest in the world, but it still comes in at about 600m ISK plus a Gecko. (1.06b ISK as of April 2020) It outputs 1,184 DPS without considering reloads and should clear a site in ten minutes give or take a few. Technically the total tank is less than what you actually need, but that usually works out considering your massive buffer. By the time the damage is starting to become an issue, you will have shot down a number of Sleepers already. Bring a mobile depot and spare lowslot refits to ensure you don’t die. You will just need additional Shield Power Relays to beef up your tank as you try the harder waves.
A word of caution regarding the jump drive, though. Be aware that this fit is designed to operate at zero capacitor if necessary and the MJD is there as a backup solution. If you’ve been run completely dry by Sleepers then I’m afraid you aren’t leaving grid today. It would also be wise to run with a few spare tank mods (Shield Power Relays etc.) and damage mods. Sit near a mobile depot and you’ll be :ok_hand:
Note that from April 2020 I’ve taken the MJD off in exchange for more tank.
If you don’t fancy shelling out that much cash then you can do things a bit cheaper with the Gila like so:

Shield Power Relay II x1
As you’d expect, you fly this Gila in exactly the same way as the Rattle. Don’t touch the mids, but swap out lows as the site requires. Through the power of refitting, your tank ranges from 270-641 DPS and you can output 603-826 cold depending on the mix of Shield Power Relays to Drone Damage Amplifiers. As previously mentioned, just orbit a Mobile Depot and that’ll make everything much simpler. Technically you’re easier to catch, too, but that’s better for me so it’s all good.
Update: I would also like to mention that if you are attempting a particularly high DPS wave with few neuts, then try refitting for 1-2 invuls/Multispectral Shield Hardeners. This will give you a lot more effective tank, but will make you capable of being neuted out.
There is another relatively cheap way to do run the Gila, too. It’s quite possible to use a high DPS fit and to sig tank much of the damage on an enduring afterburner. I won’t share that fit here, though, since the last person I gave it to went and got themselves killed on the first site. To be honest it probably wasn’t that great anyway and it was around 2015. If you do want something novel to try instead, give some of the portable structures a go. The Mobile Micro Jump Unit could save you if you anchor it when the Sabre is on scan and a Mobile Scan Inhibitor is interesting to say the least.
Update: For more info on sig tanking a C3, check out my articles on the Tengu, Legion, and Loki. They all have fits and describe the method with some short videos showing why it’s a dangerous thing to do without knowing what you are doing.
2021 Praxis Update
So I’ve updated the fit below finally. Some people were having trouble tanking which I believe may be due to poorer skills and the Reactive Armour Hardener playing tricks on them. Instead, here’s a brand new shield tanked version. This tanks about 800 EHP/s and puts out about 1k DPS. Pretty sharp if you ask me! It’s missing the guidance computer and painter but should work out roughly equivalent to how the old one applied according to the experience of my krabby corp members. If cruises aren’t working too well for you then Rapid Heavies will fit easily. Drones are also now Caldari Navy Wasps (with spares) to make them tanky as all hell against Sleeper aggro. Have fun guys 🙂

Tips and Advice
- When fitting ships like these, projecting a T1 Medium Neut onto the fit is equivalent to 12.5GJ/s and will help you see how your capacitor stands up.
- If any of these fits don’t work for you, try making some modules compact and seeing how much that affects your own tank.
- Stick to Combat Anomalies, the relic and data signatures are similar to the next class up in terms of difficulty. Don’t try them unless you know what you’re doing.
- Pull your drones as soon as they start taking aggro.
- Watch for drones set to aggressive. Don’t let them wander off and kill the trigger, forcing the next wave early.
- Watch dscan for any sign of life. Even a non-threatening Covert Ops is a likely scout for a PvP group.
- Check the system effect of where you are and consider how that affects your fit.
- Use an MTU, to collect everything. Place it early and bookmark it.
- Salvage isn’t worth as much as it used to, but if you have the time for it then drop a salvaging destroyer in on the MTU location for a bit of extra ISK.
- An Auto Targeting System fitting on any of my fits is to passively increase total lockable targets. Don’t activate it.
- If running a passive tank fit then the point before regen dips is 25%, although the actual cutoff of around 70% regen is approximately 5%

C13 Wolf Rayets (Fits updated 2021)
Now you may have heard about a special type of wormhole known as a C13. These, quite simply, are shattered wormholes with C1,2 & 3 sites and a class 6 Wolf Rayet effect present. They only admit frigates/destroyers and typically have plenty of sites for the picking. For those of you not familiar with Wolf Rayets, they provide a massive boost to small gun damage, a signature reduction, and armour bonuses.
And when I say massive small gun bonus I really mean it. In fact, a beam Confessor with dual Heat Sinks will output somewhere north of 1,400 DPS. You can make effective use of these sites with either a fleet or solo, typically in Confessors or Svipuls. I’ve even heard of the rare auto-targeting Onyx, but that’s mostly just for fun.
Method & Fits
It’s worth mentioning that the methods described here do actually work with the C2 sites previously discussed. They’re typically a little less newbro friendly, though, and do require some careful piloting to not get blapped. The C13 armour HP bonus is also helpful in helping destroyers not melt (like the price of Melted Nanoribbons these days, ha). All you need to do is kite around and keep up transversal to the Sleeper guns, watch out for neuts and everything will be just fine.
Fits for C13 space solo are as simple as these, although I’d recommend the Confessor over the Svipul here:

Tips and Advice
- Don’t get comfortable in a C13, they’re usually very well connected.
- Always check out the guide before running a site, you need to be aware of triggers and potential dangers.
- Bring a depot and ‘bank’ your loot in it in a safe if you’re staying a while.
- Keep an eye on dscan as always
- Scan out the chain in advance. It’s always good to know who your neighbours are if you’re going to sit like a little lost lamb for the next few hours.

Preferred Sites (Class 1, 2 & 3)
To make life easier for my pinchy friends I’ve put together a table of the most lucrative sites. The order is roughly by ISK per Sleeper EHP and should translate to ISK/hour, but there is also some weighting on total loot per site. You don’t want to spend 5 minutes waiting for an MTU to gather up 9m ISK of loot after all. This is a combined table for use in a C13, but if you’re daytripping in a C2 then just compare to the other C2 options.
Anomaly Name | ISK/EHP | Total ISK | Class |
The Oruze Construct | 150 | 44.5m | C3 |
Fortification Frontier Stronghold | 147 | 41.1m | C3 |
Solar Cell | 123 | 55.2m | C3 |
Outpost Frontier Stronghold** | 100 | 45.1m | C3 |
The Line* | 106 | 12m | C1 |
Perimeter Hangar | 74 | 15.6m | C2 |
The Ruins of Enclave Cohort 27 | 58 | 15.6m | C2 |
Perimeter Camp* | 79 | 10.4m | C1 |
Phase Catalyst Node | 70 | 9m | C1 |
Perimeter Ambush Point | 66 | 8.6m | C1 |
Perimeter Checkpoint | 53 | 12.9m | C2 |
Sleeper Data Signature Sanctuary | 46 | 11.6m | C2 |
*These sites have good ISK/EHP, but the total amount earned is extremely low.
**Hope you enjoy lots of webs and 800+ DPS!
Consider taking look at hisec combat exploration (DED sites). While isk is not so consistent like from blue loot. At end of the week you probable end with much better isk while don’t need to worry much about PvP.
DED sites can be lucrative, you’re right, but this series is focused on making ISK in wormholes. I’m looking to document pretty much every way to do it without going out to kspace 🙂
Two more parts to come!
Hi,
First thanks for your guides they are really usefull.
I wanted to ask , is it possible to run C3 data/relic for a solo character? If yes what level of bling a rattle would need ? Is the leshak a possibily ?
Thank you, I’m glad these have helped you.
As for running Sleeper data/relic with a Rattle in a C3. It’s possible, but you need to be aware of which sites you are running. Check Rykki’s guide and see how much you’ll need to tank on any one wave. The worst possible scenario with a Forgotten Frontier Recursive Depot is about 1400 DPS and decent neuting.
Best bet is to use the techniques described for higher class sites. If you want to design yourself a ship to do it then just play with bling and fits until you reach the rights numbers with your skills. Without doing the theorycrafting I’d guess at least a billion ISK though for a fit.
Hey
Loved your guide, realy inspired me to move to a WH, just got started in a calm C3 with LS static. Been runing Fortification Frontier Stronghold and The Oruze Construct in a Gila and pulling a good amount of ISK.
I have been testing in pyfa and I noticed that whith a Ishtar and decent skills you can get well past a gila in both tank and dps, is it viable? Or the sleepers target heavy drones too often?
Thanks, glad the guides helped!
An Ishtar is certainly usable and if you can make something equally as good for a similar price then why not. I picked the Gila for ease of use, common skills, and how cheap it can be. Sleepers do target the drones from time to time but you just need to recognise it early and pull them before they take too much damage.
👍🏻
[…] C2 Sites (T3D/Cruiser/BC) […]
I’m looking to create a ratting alt to dual box c3 sites in. What ship would you recommend for this? Dominix? Gila? Praxis? or something else?
Gila will be the easiest if you don’t mind refitting. You can drone bunny one of them and that’s fine. Dual Domis are cheap and easy too if you cap transfer and remote rep.
I would personally run a pair of Praxis’ with the armour self tank. They spit out a lot of DPS and I don’t mind a lot of clicking. They’re also cheap and would likely fight back well in a gank.
Thank you for your reaction (and these extremely helpful guides). What makes dual gilas the easiest? Currently I’m running a solo gila and I have to warp out every now and then(probably because of my shit stats).
If you’d run a pair of praxis would you use the exact same fit as given above?
Thank you for your time.
Dual Gilas would be easy because you could set up one as a drone bunny and effectively only have to control one of the Gilas while getting almost double DPS. You could also then save the second set of rapid lights for quick tackle killing if you get caught.
For tanking in the Gilas, make sure that you refit your low slots for more Shield Power Relays as you need them, and don’t do it too late! Peak regen is around 25-30% but if you drop below that then it falls off almost completely so you have to get out. If you get to about 45% shield then put more tank mods on and kill off some DPS to recover. You should always be orbiting a Mobile Depot to reduce a bit of damage and allow refitting.
I would run the fit above, yes. I like self tanking and they don’t rely on a cap chain or anything. You could easily run a remote rep or tinker style setup though. Imagine, for example, running some sort of tinker + triple armour or dual shield booster fit. It’s weird, but it could work. Don’t try that unless you understand the concept, though, and are happy with evaluating capacitor in Pyfa.
Hello, thanks for the guide.
I’m interested in using the Praxis for C3 sites but i’m confused about all the different missile damage types and drone damage types. I read everywhere that damage to deal and to resist from sleepers is omni? So how should I manage the different damage type of missiles and drones against the sleepers? Thanks
You can use any missile damage type that you like against Sleepers due to their omni resists. If you just want to pick the cheapest T2 Fury missiles you can get then do that.
Just found your site, very handy. I lve in high sec but day trip to WH, would a Caracal be able to do C1 sites? I only ask as I have a bunch of them ready for market. if so I was looking for a PVP fit to do PVE sites if that makes sense as I am happy to take on PVP in WHs too.
The Caracal struggles in PvE since it needs to kite to survive. I reckon you could just about make it work, but it wouldn’t be ideal at all. Just sell some Caracals and buy one of the cheap fits from here, maybe How 2 Krab Part 7 might be up your alley.
And trying to do PvP in a PvE fit isn’t ideal for many reasons beyond the scope of a simple comment at 1:30am!
Out of interest, why the active rank Praxis for C3 instead of your passive shield or armor tanked fits from your Fit Kitchen article on the Praxis?
The passive and other armour fit on the Fit Kitchen article were designed for easier, more generic content. Say.. level 4 missions or hisec Triglavian sites for example. This fit here has been designed to tank every anomaly in C3 space 🙂
Thanks for the rapid repsonse! Haven’t played the game for a while so new to running WH sites
I get an email whenever anyone comments so I can approve them (as a first time commenter) 😀
If I didn’t do this then there’s a good chance that I would have thousands (literally) of spam comments to viagra websites down here.
Hi Ashy, is the Confessor fit still viable now for C13 rayets?
It is 😀
Not much better than that still
thanks for the reply!
Only thing I couldn’t seem to import was: True Sansha Adaptive Nano Plating
Is this item not in the game anymore? Couldn’t find it or something similar. Any recommendations?
Tiericide hit it 🙂
If you paste into Pyfa it should fix that, I’ll go ahead and change those fits now. The only reason I haven’t done it for everything is because they did a load of massive name changes at once and it would take many hours for me to update literally every fit on the blog.
Don’t worry, the effort is appreciated! I figured something like that must have happened at some point as I’ve only been playing about 10 months now and have run into this problem with more than a couple old fits I’ve imported haha. Thanks again
You got any gnosis fit for c2 wormhole combat sites?

Hi,
First of all thanks for all the content. Much appreciated and it takes time to achieve this.
I am back about a 10y break and skill scam (but not the point..) after living in a c4 for years… and right now I am more for ratting WH from HS staging and so I am looking for a hull who can handle this.. the point, I am Amarr and laser skilled.
Was thinking of an Harbinger or Prophecy (need to skill more in drones)..an then move to a zealot.
I am heading wrong ? Have you any fit to suggest?
Thanks,
Thorias
Hey sorry for such a slow reply. I would recommend either trying the Prophecy Navy Issue or maybe a Harbinger for C2’s if you like. As for a fit, I’ll direct you to this article so you can learn how to do it 🙂
